And so we completed our Tuesday songwriting group sessions…

And so we completed our Tuesday songwriting group sessions today.
What a beautiful journey it has been, friendships made, trust and respect achieved on all sides.
The discussions and banter were worth the journey alone.
Songwriting of course is the aim and boy did the guys respond. Songs of observations and views, experiences, humour a constant thread.
Finishing of today with more serious songs, yes two.
One called..
What’s said in this room stays in the room.
The other..
Life to shout
You will have to attend our concert later in year to witness these guys words and also the planned CD.
Thanks of course to Wes and Katherine the musicians who’s creativity and understanding has been wonderful.
Thanks also to the Town Trust for their continued support, Hoorays and the Fred Winter centre for housing us.
Without doubt it’s been an absolute privilege for Street Arts Project to work with these guys.
Why not treat yourselves to witnessing our Musicians perform in concert this Friday night at The Bear Pit.
Below is a picture of the sessions

Update on our Songwriting Project

So our songwriting project that started in November continues to prosper. So much so that we have had to start a second group for a few weeks as we hate turning down anybody.

The strength of the sessions is getting people to share experiences, thoughts and ideas.

Songs are born from this . The words have to come from the guys and boy do they come up with some cracking lyrics.
They bond inside and outside of the sessions.

The banter is wonderful, yes there are good days and not so good ones but the guys support each other. The honesty of the guys shine through as does the humour.

Lots of material already in the bag and more to come. We are forever moving forward , challenging and taking risks.

We at the Street Arts Project are privileged to be able to work with these guys and make a difference.

Cd will be recorded and a concert pencilled in for late May early June.

Huge thanks to the Town trust for their continued support. Heads up to the Playhouse for housing us plus Hoorays who helped out in January with a room. Big thanks to the Street Arts musicians for their commitment and quality not forgetting their friendship.

Infact drop into the Bear Pit on the 3rd March and witness them performing in concert. Your support would be appreciated.

Will try and post a few of our lyrics asap
Once more thanks to our clientele and all you groovy people out there.

Love and peace from us all.
