Streets Arts Project Gig- Friday 10th June 2022

Read ‘Hot Music Live review’ by AndyHoldcroft, June 12 2022.

“As you’ll know from previous writing in the magazine & the inclusion on ‘Hot Music Live Presents Volume Eight’ of “Wake Me Up Tomorrow”, the title track from the second album from Street Arts Project , I’m an admirer and supporter of this Stratford based organisation working with the homeless and vulnerable citizens of that town….”

By Jove… we did it again…

By Jove… we did it again… yesterday at the Playhouse songwriting workshops funded by the Town Trust. Full house once more and all in a creative and productive mood. The end result being in song callled Agrophobic Blues with the wonderful line – I lost the shine on my shoes.
Once again all the guys contributed, they shared their thoughts , emotions and experiences. It’s really hard to put yesterday into words, huge achievement by everybody concerned and the opportunity grasped.
Don’t worry all you good people will have the opportunity to see/hear at first hand the evidence and of course support the guys. Concert on the horizon around early June at the playhouse. Your support is requested and satisfaction guaranteed
Heads up to all the groovy people involved in the project

Second week of latest songwriting project at the Fred Winter Centre

Second week of latest songwriting project at the Fred Winter Centre, In walks a guy so full of energy and bursting to sing. So we sit down and he says I want to write a bluesy song … I saw a girl that was walking by!
Well we had it all written and added a tune in 60 mins.
Well in walks a lady who hears the song and sits down with us and the result…
The room is smokey and everyone’s inside.
Meanwhile all the other guys get inspired and start to put down a few lyrics.
Not to mention the chords being learned
So, what can you say, just brilliant, so wonderful to be part of it. So much going on that my head was spinning trying to keep up.
That’s us cool cats at Street Arts for you

Street Arts Project provision of hot meal vouchers

Doug and Jackie meeting with Cllr Jenny Fradgley at the Fred Winter Centre on Saturday 26th March 2022.

Cllr Jenny Fradgley  kindly donated a sum from the WCC Councillors’ Grant Fund to Street Arts Project for their provision of hot meal vouchers.

The vouchers can be exchanged for a nutritious meal by our homeless community at the new ‘Cork and Tile’ restaurant at the Fred Winter Centre. Vouchers are given out by the agencies that support the homeless and the Street Arts Project team on the streets.

If you see someone who you think is in need, you can ask them if they are supported by an agency or the Housing Team at SDC and they can request a voucher through their support worker.
